The domain
The Rayjah Network, rayjah.us, was once rayjah.org but I lost interest in the name and didn't renew it. The name was derived from a secret language a few of my friends and I invented, it meant "heaven". When my friends lost interest in the language, so did I, but have recently began to find it interesting once again.
The "network" is made up of- mostly- artsy type sites; writing, graphics, etc. But the domain rayjah.us is used for sites that are connected to all of the others (e.g; the Link Farm is a link directory of resources used by all sites).
Rayjah.us was originally registered through GoDaddy (because of the discounts) on, I think, April 2009 and is hosted at Dreamhost (where I host all my domains).
The Layout
The current layout was created with Dreamweaver MX 2004 and a palette from ColourLovers, named Entrapped InAPalette. This can be considered "version one" of the site, but I seriously doubt I will switch the layout. At least not for a long while seeing how I enjoy simple layouts.
The Webmistress
My name is Eavan, I was born on March 14 (White Day!). My mother is Hispanic and my father is Japanese, which actually leads to a lot of tension between me and both families (my parents are separated). My mother's side of the family have a habit of making fun of my more asian looks; my eyes, while my father's side of the family treat me like some American tourist.
My mother, sister, and I moved to the United States in 1996, when my mother caught herself some American tourist who wanted to marry her (no, this did not make me happy). I immediately began 5th grade (AGAIN; I'd already gone through 5th grade in Chile), though my English was good I hated speaking as I didn't want to embarrass myself. So I came off as overly shy, which I wasn't (just easily embarrassed).
I enjoy reading and read quite a bit while in Middle School and High School (in Elementary school I was still trying to learn how to read English). I read through most of the books in the library during Middle School (about one book a day, I was intense) but discovered the "internet" just before High School.
I began writing stories and publishing them on FF.Net during these years, under another username that I do not remember and was forced to change when I didn't remember. I've always had an overactive imagination and enjoy spinning around on my desk chair at random times; it helps me think, seriously!
To learn more about ME, I suggest visiting me at my writing domain. All I do is write, unless I forget for like a month (it happens often).
